This monocular microscope with light is a precision instrument. Its uses include not only semen and slurry examination but also for observation of other biological specimens. An adjustable mechanical stage with twin graduations is standard. The optics that are included: 10x and 16x eyepieces and 10x, 25x, 40x and 100x semi-plane objectives. A built în  20 watt adjustable, halogen light, diaphragm and filter holder are fitted as standard. Standard accessories are: a spare bulb, dust cover, blue, yellow and green filters and immersion-oil.

A heated stage (4502501) and/or a digital monocular head (4503002) are available as options. The microscope can be used at any voltage between 90 and 240 Volts without adjustment.

Semi-plane objectives are focused and free of faults and blemishes over 80% of the lens surface. These microscopes are more expensive and are usually reserved for medical and lab professionals. Gives better pictures than achromatic lenses where 60% of the centre of the lens surface is guaranteed.
